Job Summary

Directs and coordinates activities of production in Plating, Mass Finishing, and Water Treatment in processing materials or manufacturing products in an industrial organization either personally or through subordinate supervisors.


Job Responsibilities

  • Must possess a working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root cause analysis, and International Quality Standards.
  • Will require computer literacy with an aptitude for spreadsheet, database, and engineering design software.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating the data driven process control system utilizing various statistical techniques.
  • Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data
  • Required to maintain and identify legal requirements and govenmental reporting regulations affecting Environmental issues ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance with local, state, and federal agencies
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of sound cost analysis methods utilizing a high six figures budget.
  • Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacuring products
  • Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet in house and customer specifications.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and monitors workers to ensure compliance with standards
  • Must posses strong technical skills in Chemistry, Physics, Thermodynamics, and basic AC/DC electric circuits
  • A working knowledge of equipment design, construction, operation, and maintenance is helpful
  • Conducts research into composition, structure, properties, relationships, and reactions of matter.
  • Prepares standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests
  • Conduct needs analysis studies and confers with supervisors to determine deparmental training needs
  • Compiles data and analyzes past and current year training requirements to prepare budgets and justify funds requested.
  • Implements employee training, written operating procedures, process validation, workmanship criteria and compliance with all customer (internal and external) required standards and specifications.
  • Will provide technical expertise for all production areas with regard to proper chemical hygiene and related safety work practices.

  • Conducting accident and near miss investigations within their departments and providing appropriate corrective actions

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages supervisors in the Plating, Water Treatment, and Parts Finishing departments and is responsible for overal direction, coordination, and evaluations of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies. This includes interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing workflow. It also includes appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.


Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: 1 or more years experience in an electroplating environment (Preferred)

Other: An equivalent combination of education and experience


Physical Demands

May be required to use stand, sit, walk, talk, listen, crouch, and kneel. May also be required to lift up to 50lbs.
